Cinnamon Nut Raisin Cake





Serves 8
Enjoy the flavors of Fall.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1/2 cup sugar |
3 eggs |
2 1/2 cups flour |
1 1/3 cups buttermilk |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
3/4 teaspoon allspice |
1/2 teaspoon cloves |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 cup raisins |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a Bundt pan with cooking spray.
- Beat together shortening with sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs and beat until mixed.
- Add flour, buttermilk, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, raisins and walnuts to the mixing bowl. Stir until mixed together.
- Pour batter into the Bundt pan. Place pan in oven and bake for 45 minutes.
