Oven Baked Beef Stew

This classic dish just got a whole lot tastier!
|2 lb stew meat|
|1 onion, coarsely chopped|
|3 stalks celery, coarsely chopped|
|3 carrots, coarsely chopped|
|1 can diced tomatoes, undrained, 15 oz.|
|1 can tomato sauce, 8 oz.|
|1 can beef broth, 10.5 oz.|
|1 teaspoon salt|
|1/2 teaspoon pepper|
|1 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves|
|4 red potatoes, cubed|
|2 cups sliced mushrooms|
- Preheat oven to 325° F.
- Combine stew meat, onion, celery, carrots, tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, marjoram leaves, salt and pepper in a Dutch oven. Place top on and bake for 2 hours.
- Take out Dutch oven and stir in red potatoes and mushrooms. Place top on and bake for an additional 90 minutes.
