Easy Mongolian Beef

A sweet and spicy classic.
|1 lb. flank steak, sliced very thin, cut in 2" strips|
|2 tablespoons soy sauce|
|3 tablespoons hoisin sauce|
|1 tablespoon rice wine|
|1 tablespoon cornstarch|
|1 teaspoon sugar|
|2 tablespoons peanut oil|
|1 clove garlic, minced|
|1/4 teaspoon minced ginger|
|1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes|
|Prepared rice, for serving|
- Marinate the flank steak in a mixture of the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice wine, cornstarch, and sugar for about 1 hour.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the peanut oil on medium-high. Add the garlic, ginger, and pepper seeds and stir fry a minute or so.
- Add the meat and cook for 3-5 minutes.
- Serve with rice.
