Tiger Cookies

Serves 40

Sweeter than your average cookie.


1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 cups frosted flake cereal
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. 
  2. Melt chocolate chips in top section of double boiler over hot, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Crush frosted flake cereal. Sift together flour, soda and salt.
  3. Measure butter and sugar into mixing bowl; beat until very light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract; beat well. Add dry ingredients; mix thoroughly. Fold in crushed frosted flake cereal.
  4. Swirl warm melted chocolate lightly through batter, leaving streaks of chocolate. Use a rounded tablespoons to scoop out batter, drop onto ungreased baking sheets. Place in oven and bake for 12 minutes. Remove cookies from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.
